It would appear that we're in for quite a ride come May 4. Broken Social Scene, who have not released a full-length album since 2005, are finally back in action. Forgiveness Rock Record's title alone alludes to being overwhelming, and by the sounds associated with "World Sick," it's probably the most appropriate term. It's a sprawling, exploding rock anthem-- still rife with the intricate instrumentation of their other work, but somehow seeming more basic. Clocking in at nearly seven minutes, it's a lot to take in, but well worth it. Forgiveness Rock Record is out May 4 via Arts & Crafts.
