Happy Monday to all. Just wanted to check in with this quick note from over the weekend to kick us off for another week of music news, features and videos. The Coast, whose 2008 effort, Expatriate, was probably one of the more unsung successes of the year, had a session up on Daytrotter Saturday. As would be assumed, it brings most of the energetic pop rock sound from the album to the more subdued setting quite well. Plus, they decided to be one of the cool bands and put up four songs, instead of just three, so there's another reason to go check it out right there. If you're interested, mosey on over.
Animal Noises is a blog about music, both old and new, and how it stands up in the current music scene. The staff-- John, the editor, with contributions from Matt-- uses their various music backgrounds to intelligently discuss artists and albums, focusing on the good, while not avoiding the bad. We focus on sub-genres of rock, electronic music and hip hop, but don't be surprised to see the occasional wildcard too.
